(September 30th, 2008) -- Saturday September 27th Colby Cannon captured the title of Super Late Model Champion of Laurens County Speedway for the 2008 racing season. Colby became the youngest driver in the history of LCS to capture this honor. He led the points race from wire to wire beating out very strong contenders with many years of racing experience.
The entire CCR 16 team would like to say thank you to its sponsors, Danny's Automotive, Shane Walters Web Design, and JaBo Kennels. Colby says he owes much thanks and gratitude to his crew who spent many hard working hours preparing a great race car. Without their help it would have been impossible.
Also, a big thank you to Jay Dickens for supplying great power under the hood and Barry Wright for building great handling race cars.
Most of all, Colby sincerely appreciates all the support and encouragement from all of his loyal fans. He says they make it all worth while to race hard and have fun doing it.
